Our internal alarm clock has us up at 6:00 AM and we are lucky to catch the end of the
sunrise. Walking over to the restaurant we stop to test out the water temperature in the infinity pool which is right next to the main pool. Cold. We have live music at
breakfast! I take pictures of the buffet items I missed yesterday. Breakfast this morning is 2 eggs over easy, toast, fruit, and tropical fruit juice for me. A small amount of scrambled egg, cereal with dried fruit, vegetables, fruit, tropical fruit juice, and coffee for my husband Richard. Forgot to take a picture! Nice to be able to relax over breakfast. No rush for diving or any other excursion. I inquire at the AVIS car rental desk in our lobby about "sunset" rental which was told to me by the concierge. We will have to go to Rudy's for dinner the day we have our car already booked as Rudy's will not do a pick up at our hotel unless there are 6 people going. I had wanted to go to the Hilton Creperie when we had our rental but that plan is scrapped now. The sunset rental is from 3:00 PM-8:00 AM the next day and cost is 6000XPF. You can drop the car off earlier as there is a box on the desk for the car keys and the car can be left in the hotel parking area. Do we want to pay that? Have to think about it as that's a lot of money just to get to the Hilton.

We decide to just spend the day
exploring the IC Moorea property and chill on the
beach. We walked over to the dock where you can sign up for water based excursions, then over to the Dolphin Encounter are, and then the Turtle Rescue area. On the beach I decide to test out my snorkel gear for some excursions that we will be doing. The gear is working fine. No leaks. Mask fit is fine.

Dinner-
Moorea Beach Cafe. Pick up was 5:30 PM for the sunset seating. There is another couple from our resort and 2 or 3 couples from the Hilton. This mini bus/van is full. We are given table #6 right by the railing and it is a pretty view but the sun goes behind the clouds so no amazing sunset. Drinks-Pina colada for me and Hinano beer for Richard. It was so dark that I was unable to get good pictures of the menu. Wish we had brought our mini flash light. As it was had to use the table light just to make our selections for dinner. The filet mignon is as I ordered-medium and very tender. Comes with fries and green beans and béarnaise sauce on the side. Sesame crusted red tuna hits the spot for Richard. Comes with asparagus risotto. Dessert-salted caramel ice cream. Cost 11300 XPF/$112.03. Credit cards accepted. When paying I asked Bruno about how to leave a tip as there was no space on the credit card slip. He told me that the service charge was already included and no need for anything further. He went on to state this is the case with all the restaurants?? I must admit I'm confused.
